I’m sure you guys are wanting to know what I’ve been up to lately. Well, recently I’ve traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Needless to say, the experience was beyond my expectations. It is a beautiful country with so much culture and of course amazing design 🙂

During my stay there I was blessed to stay at the Iberostar. As you all know, I not only explored the country; but, had to check out the resorts as well. I am always drawn to stunning hotel design! I wandered around to take photos, losing my boyfriend in the hotel for a moment. The interiors was filled with detailed and refined transitional design. It was perfect for an island getaway! From the grand entrance to the extravagant staircase, and authentic artwork – I was in designers paradise! The entrance welcomed me with a soft, sweet aroma and large, ornate chandeliers. I give the Iberostar two thumbs up.

Here is a flashback of my experience!

The staircase is one of my favorite features. It is a grand structure with glass panels that curves upward to the reception area. I imagine seeing this in a fairy tale! On the bottom floor there is a mosaic tiled water feature that leads you to the pool area.

On the bottom floor are scallop window treatments with a large bench to view the outdoor infinity pool.

One of the bars in the resort displays actual instruments on the walls as artwork with vertical string LED lights. This space is another favorite of mine!

Here are views of the lobby bar area!

A closer view of the columns. Gold mosaics tiles are inserted into the column with faux nail heads at the base.

Another view of the grand lobby!

A glimpse of the side table with transitional, sleek table lamp!

This overall view of the lobby displays a checkerboard floor with a directional tile pattern that leads to the entrance.

The piano area sits adjacent to the bar. I did not get a chance to play it, but I don’t think anyone would want me to!

The ceiling has a beautiful pop up with detailed artwork on the inside. Ionic columns boarder the pop up and has gold and faux marble finishes.

And… here is a photo of my beach view. Talk about peaceful!

Of course I have to end with my welcoming towel design. This was a nice surprise!
