We all have this limited idea of art. I even can admit to sometimes mistaking art as only an expression of your imagination through a canvas or sculpture. Art is created with the human hand, but what about the art created by nature. The earth is the ultimate form of artwork! Most artist gather inspiration from the beauty of the world around them. There are tons of inspirational ideas around us in even the most intricate places… like the stone in the earth.

Deep into the earth are beautifully formed stones that range from any color you could think of! All of these precious stones are developed over time by the elements of nature. They are so authentic that bringing them into the interiors of a space is an element of charm, or artwork. Stone can be applied to the wall, floor, counter, or furniture pieces. Wherever you may experience it, it is bound to take your breath away.

Stone is very expensive finish, but if you have the budget for it, why not give it a try? Aria Stone Gallery offers many selections of remarkable stones. One of my favorites is the Dalmata. In the images below it is used in the shower and book-matched to create a symmetrical piece of art. It is so bold and has amazing depth and form! Who wouldn’t want a bathroom that looks like this?
